We had a great day yesterday...we started with a morning walk to the beach, as usual ;)
Some things never change!
The duck family was a big hit!
Beauty parlor at the beach :)
In the afternoon, Jon, Charlotte, Henry and I went to visit our friends in Sag Harbor. Jamie & Scott actually just bought an amazing house built by my biggest client, so it was cool to see the house in person. And it certainly didn't disappoint, my goodness! As Jon said, it was pretty much the nicest house we've ever been in :)
And more importantly, we had a great time with the Parrot family...Tyler and Charlotte were pretty much inseparable, which is very cute. Henry and Trevor played together a bit...they were swimming and stuff, but they are still at the age when they do a lot of side-by-side play. I think one of the highlights though, was when Tyler came in our car on the way to dinner, and Henry went with Trevor. The kids were so excited haha...it's the little things :)
Anyway, while we were at their house, the kids were swimming most of the afternoon...they have a hot tub, so the kids were going back and forth between there and the pool. Charlotte and Tyler did a lot of dance routines, as well...as my mom said, "she has met her match!". A cute boy who likes to sing and dance--doesn't get much better as far as Charlotte is concerned haha. Especially because Tyler has good moves! :)
Here are some of their performances...gotta love their use of props and exciting choreography haha
Then they realized that the garage wasn't the optimum performance location, especially when they had a huge raised deck that served as a perfect stage :)
(Still with the props haha)
Always a fan favorite!
And this next song is apparently extremely popular, and there is a specific dance that goes along with it...Tyler learned the choreography at camp, and he gave Charlotte one run through where he taught her. Check out his moves! I told Jamie I didn't know where he got it from, because I've seen his father dance haha
Meanwhile, the adults were having just as much fun having some drinks and catching up, although I don't have any pictures of that :)
We went into Sag for diner, and ate at Il Cappuccino, which was fun. Thankfully they gave us a (mostly) private room upstairs, so we didn't have to worry about our misbehaving children haha.
We ended the night with some yogurt and lots of toppings at Buddha Berry, and the kids were happy and exhausted. It was impossible to get a pic at this point :)
Henry was sound asleep about 5 min after we got in our car, and Charlotte wasn't too far behind!! It was a great day.
Today...eh, not as great haha. Charlotte and Eloise were both up a lot last night, we got very little sleep. Jon went shark fishing with my dad and James, so he left pretty early. And then Henry and Charlotte woke up feeling sick and had come down with colds. That's a big deal with these two, complete with lots of crying and whining. And did I mention crying? LOTS of it. We tried to go for a walk this morning, and it ended up with Charlotte complaining, Henry in the cargo area of the stroller, unhappy kids, etc etc. We ended up going to my parents' house for a lot of swimming, which seemed to cheer them up...and it was pretty necessary on a 92 degree day! :)
And the kids both learned how to go to the bottom of the shallow end, which is a big deal for the Rocafort kids haha.
And I'm pretty sure Eloise thinks she is hula hooping like her big sis :)
Xoxoxo
