Disney on Ice

A few weeks ago, we took the kids to see Disney on Ice, as we do every fall…but I have to say, this was the best show yet!  The opened with the Little Mermaid, then went into Tangled, and then Brave…all big hits with my kiddies.  Even Henry was having a ball…he was dancing in front of his chair, and just so excited.  And Charlotte said afterwards, "this was the best day ever!".  So I think they enjoyed themselves :)

Here are some pics...

Charlotte had to wear her Rapunzel dress, of course

Totally mesmerized!

Henry too :)

So exciting

She didn't take this smile off of her face!  Heaven on earth for Charlotte...

All of the kids around us were eating nasty hot dogs and cotton candy and lots of junk, and mommy brought PB&J haha...

Image 27

…but don't feel bad for them, we all went out for a Mexican dinner afterwards, where Henry gorged himself on chips! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!!! :)

We are very thankful this year…first and foremost, thankful for our amazing families (including the two cutest kids in the world)…but also so thankful for our friends, and our health, and the health of our families, and our home, and our jobs, and all of the blessings in our life.  Oh, and as Charlotte said this morning when I asked what she was thankful for, we are also "thankful for nature" :)

We had a great holiday today, even though it was a quick trip to and from HB.  I always feel like the holidays are kind of a blur these days…spent chasing the kiddies around.  All of a sudden, the day is over and I realize that I haven't really even gotten to speak to anyone :(  But I know they won't always be little and needing constant attention…before we know it, they will be in college and hungover on every holiday.  I kid, I kid.

Here are some pics I took today...

Charlotte showing me her "princess bride dress" (don't mind the crazy eyes haha)

My loves.  Ugh, makes my heart melt.

Now Henry is dressed too, but not surprisingly, doesn't want to take a picture :)

Image 2

She asked me to take a picture of her with her baby…such a good mommy :)

Henry didn't so much listen when I said "say cheese!"...

…but with a little cropping it isn't such a bad picture, haha.

Just to prove that I was, in fact, present today (sans make-up, clearly)

Feel the burn!!! :)

Henry enjoying some chocolate mousse cake after nap time…happy boy! :)

And this is how we like to work off our Thanksgiving dinners in our family…nothing like dancing to intense house music after a big meal haha :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!  Thanks for a great day mom & dad…we love you, and everything was delicious :)

Trouble (But I have pictures!)

Yes, I know I am in a lot of trouble since I haven't updated the blog in a month now…but there has been a lot that has happened between then and now!  I know I have a lot of catching up to do, but in the meantime I thought I would share a few pics that we recently had taken.  Unfortunately, there isn't a good one in the bunch…I can't even find one to use for our Christmas card.  Believe me, it is not for lack of trying, but SOMEONE repeatedly refuses to cooperate haha.  Here is the album:

I promise I will be back soon! :)

Day trip to NYC!

We took an impromptu trip to the city on Saturday…Jon just suggested we go to the Museum of Natural History, and to lunch at one of our old favorites (Paparadella), so we did!  We drove in and met Ray and Liz, and went to lunch.  It was delicious, as always, but a slightly different experience than when we used to go as a couple before kids…a little less wine, a little more crying and whining and being generally unpleasant (Henry), and a little less time to savor the food, haha.  But it was good to be back in our old neighborhood.  Then we went to the museum, and the kids absolutely loved it…they loved seeing all of the animals, and of course the dinosaurs. They are both at really good ages for that, so it was nice.  And then we finished up with a walk in Central Park, and a visit to the old playground where we used to take Charlotte almost every day!  All in all, a nice little afternoon :)

Here are some pics...

Best seat in the house!

Attempting to take a family picture…seriously, no one ever told me how difficult it is to get family pics where everyone is looking in the right direction!

Image 14

Poor Liz and Ray tried like 1,000 times!

Image 15

Such a gorgeous day…perfect weather!

Image 21

And finally, a somewhat decent shot!

Image 22

Charlotte was over the picture taking :)

Image 16

So we watched the people on the boats instead! Look at the color of those trees…gorgeous!

We definitely had a nice day…we will have to do it more often.  Although Henry's restaurant behavior is still atrocious, so we might need to leave him home until he gets some manners haha.
