I had to take Henry to the hospital yesterday :(

I had to take Henry to the hospital yesterday :(
Yesterday was Mama's 99th Birthday, so we just wanted to wish her a very happy birthday! Can you believe that she is 99?! Amazing :)
Unfortunately, we weren't able to spend the day with Mama on her birthday, but that certainly didn't stop the kids from wishing her a "Happy Birthday"!
Charlotte was being a little sassy here, haha
Here she was a little less crazy. Not so much Henry, haha
And of course, no birthday is ever complete without a "special birthday dance". Crazy kids :)
We love you Mama, and can't wait to celebrate with you…hope you had a wonderful day!
Xoxoxo
Friday was Poppy's 69th Birthday…unbelievably, he thought he was turning 70 (simple math, dad?), so he was pleasantly surprised to discover he had another year before that milestone, haha. We weren't able to spend his actual birthday with him, but the next day my parents had a party with a lot of good friends/family, so we were able to celebrate then!
Here is Charlotte singing to Poppy :)
And one of both of the kids singing
Unfortunately, I didn't take a lot of pictures the day of the party, but here are a few...
Charlotte hugging the birthday boy! (Henry was sleeping)
No family party is complete without Uncle Ray throwing the kids up in the air! Ray gets quite a workout :)
"My turn, my turn, my turn!"
Charlotte with baby Wade…he almost weighs as much as she does though, haha
Such a good babysitter :)
Happy Birthday Dad…we love you, and hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration :)
Xoxoxo
Okay, so we are continuing….
The night of July 4th we took the kids to Shuckers. The kids love this place…I will show you why:
Yup, there is a dance floor. With music and lights. The kids go nuts, haha. Here Charlotte put on QUITE a show!!!
Then, at 6:30pm, the live band comes on. Kids were pretty excited about that, as well! Here they are waiting for the main event…love how she puts her arm on his back :)
So excited! Baby groupies :)
And then they got down to business!
Love her face here…this is when she realized they were playing a Bob Marley song that Daddy always sings to her :)
Another beautiful beach day!
So gorgeous
Love my family
Love
Such a goose
Henry's big find!
This is Henry about 4 seconds after we got in the car...
…and this is his 5 year old sister, the second she got back to the house haha. The beach is exhausting!
The patriotic strawberry shortcake i made for Jessica's BBQ
Charlotte riding Aunt Jess' dolphin :)
Unbelievably, this was also the first day that Charlotte decided she wanted to swim without her float. My other friend Jess had her daughter Alexis there, who can swim, and Charlotte just started swimming! She was doing the doggie paddle all over the place. So proud of her! Go peer pressure :)
But this is what she looked like when we got back…catatonic. She still needs that mid-day nap, and when she doesn't get it, this is what she looks like haha.
So, all in all, we had a fun-filled, wonderful holiday with family and friends. Happy 4th of July!
Xoxoxo
We had a wonderful 4th of July week, full of all things "summer"…pool, beach, boat, BBQ, fishing, bars, haha. Here are some pics.
Charlotte and Nate at Oaklands. She is playing it so cool. I am almost positive I heard him ask her if she "comes here often" :)
Nothing like nakie boogie boarding!
Getting fancy on the board!
She told me she was practicing her "paddling"
My love bugs
It was cloudy in the morning, so we took the kids fishing at Agawam. Surprisingly, there are a lot of catfish in there! :)
My loves
I think she was showing me her muscles but I'm not really sure. Regardless, I am kind of scared haha
Feeding the ducks
Henry's got one on the line!!!
Fighting his first fish :)
Checking out Henry's "big" catch
Love this picture…so intense
Kind of nervous...
…but very proud! :)
She wanted a turn holding Henry's fish, "just in case" she didn't catch one
Luckily, she got hooked up right away!
Of course I had to attempt to get creative with the pics :)
After the kids were over fishing, we went to the park. My handsome boy loves the swings!
Jon jokes that this playground must be sponsored by a pediatric orthopedist, haha. Not really all that funny, but there are a lot of unbelievably dangerous rides there!
That afternoon, while Henry was asleep, Jon, Charlotte, Poppy, James and I attempted to go on the boat. Unfortunately, it was incredibly foggy, so we had to turn around and head home soon after we left :(
More to come of our fun week, but I don't want my post to crash on me so I am splitting it up! :)
