This is how our morning started...I asked Charlotte to watch Eloise for 2 seconds so I could pee. And somehow she managed to unroll an entire thing of paper towels--ugh!
Then we went to my parents' house for swimming lessons...it is amazing how good the kids are getting! Charlotte is doing the breast stroke under water and can just about swim the length of the pool. Henry is swimming under water and can even go pretty deep like he's diving under...amazing.
Here's a video of Henry in action today!
Then Jon came home and suggested we go sailing. It was supposed to be a quick trip, but it didn't end up that way! We had a nice sail out to cormorant point, and then the wind completely died...even the flags were still haha. Coupled with an outgoing tide, it was damn near impossible for us to get back! It took us about 10 min to sail there, and approximately 2 hours to get back. Jon ended up having to jump off the sailboat and push us when we got to the shallows!!! At one point, we were using the kids' shovels to paddle...what a day?!! (Jon deleted most of the pics/videos from today, so this is all I have--not happy)
This is the beach at the marina...beautiful. The kids were catching krill in their nets and were as happy as could be. I think we would've been happy to just relax right there for the day :)
When we got home, Eloise was incredibly cranky (she wasn't the only one!). She only napped for a short time this afternoon before she woke up crying...Nicole went in to check on her, and gave her the paci and rocked her. All was quiet until about 10 min later when she started crying again. Poppy went in to check on her, didn't turn on the lights or anything, and she goes to hand him what he thought was her pacifier...except it wasn't. It was poop. Yup, she handed Poppy her poop. And there was more poop throughout her crib haha. Apparently, she chose today to learn to take off her diaper. And the fact that it happened when Poppy was watching her--of all people--is just incredible. I would by lying if I said I wasn't laughing...hysterically...when he told me haha. Never a dull moment!
So anyway, when we came home, she was exhausted and cranky (believe me, she wasn't the only one!)...I took her for a walk, fed her dinner (twice haha), gave her a bath, and we finally turned on the music so she could dance. That kind of made her happy--briefly. Here are some videos.
Of course Charlotte had to get involved too!
Today was a long day!!!
