Vacation: Day #10

Ahhh, feel like the summer is starting to slip away here :(

Today, the older kids had camp, and we had a babysitter for Eloise, so Jon and I had a few "free" hours and decided to go paddle boarding. Surprisingly (and I realize this is out of character!), it was my idea haha. But anyway, I had never been and always thought it would be fun, so we rented boards. Let me tell you, every inch of my body was shaking!!! I know everyone says it's a core workout, but I really felt it in my legs--and if you had asked me before, I would've thought that I had pretty strong legs haha. But they were reduced to putty. Jon kept on trying to get me to race him, but I told him my one goal was to stay on my board the entire time haha--mission accomplished!

Jon took these pics of me in action :)

When we were done, we went to pick Charlotte & Henry up at camp. They were playing the game they usually play at the end, but apparently today they ran out of the little mats and asked Charlotte and Henry to "buddy up" and compete as one person. So when we got there, this was how we found them...so sweet.

After camp, we all went swimming for a few hours, which was fun. We ate dinner, Eloise had a dance party, and then decided to get Carvel and go down to the beach. It couldn't have been a more perfect night--so gorgeous!!!

Here are some videos of the dancing :)

And Charlotte even caught on to Eloise's choreography haha

The big kids showing Eloise the way to the beach!

"Come on Eloise, we will show you!"

Watching seagulls
Mmmmm...ice cream!!
Walking and eating haha
Sisters...love love love
Showing her more seagulls--never gets old :)
Convincing their sister that she can, in fact, walk on the sand haha
Enjoying her first cone...not an ice cream cone, mind you--just a cone. Certain carvel flavors apparently have eggs in them, so I wasn't taking any chances. She was happy, though ;)
"You can do it!!!"
Some of my best childhood memories involve playing in the lifeguard area after hours...so exciting!
A little girl introduced herself to Charlotte and asked if she wanted to jump off...I can't believe they didn't think of that before!
Gathering her courage
Henry was yelling, "don't do it Charlotte, don't do it! It's soooo dangerous!". Who would've thought?! Haha

Gathering her courage for jump #2!
I swear, it seems like just yesterday when I was jumping with my friends!!!!
Jon tried to put Henry up, and he was catatonic, begging Jon to take him down...
Maybe he's inherited a fear of heights?! :)
Gorgeous sunset
Starting the long trek home!
I think every night should end at the beach :)
****And most importantly, my mom had a clean (clear?) MRI today, so we couldn't be happier. We will tolerate nothing else from now on Mamie!!! Love you :)

Xoxoxo
