When we were younger, the carnival was the most exciting week of the summer...you always knew everyone was going to be there, and it would never disappoint. We looked forward to it for weeks and it was always a blast.
Now...I would like to avoid it like the plague. Charlotte and Henry, not so much. They see those signs and posters and their faces light up, they get so excited. This year I held them off until Friday (it opened Tuesday)...it was great because I got to use it to bribe them for a few days haha--I even got Henry to keep his hands out of his mouth at camp! :)
Last year, they were content on the kiddie rides. This year, my little thrill seekers were asking if they could go on the zipper and gravitron (no and NO!). I did take them on this circular roller coaster thing that went forwards and backwards (guaranteed to make you nauseous!), and the Ferris wheel, but that was it for the "big rides".
It was a gorgeous view from the Ferris wheel...
Luckily my kids are obsessed with stuffed animals, so they were easily convinced to go play games instead of going on the big rides!!! :)
Once Jon got there, he took them on the slide--always a fan favorite! Except for Henry, apparently, who doesn't look all that impressed.
And about 8 minutes after he got there, Jon suggested we get them some dessert and get the hell out of dodge...good plan!
Xoxoxo
