The kids have been wanting to go camping, even though they have no idea what it entails...last night they asked if they could "camp" in the basement, and this was what I found when I went downstairs.
They were up in their rooms exactly 8 minutes later :)
But Jon was kind of excited about camping in the backyard too, so he took the kids to get some gear today...they came home with a tent and a fire pit, and we had a fun little night. Poor Eloise missed all of the fun :)
Mommy prepared the refreshments while daddy tended to the fire! The peanut butter cups really take s'mores up a notch :)

I do as I'm told...see that white spot? That's what he was so excited about :)
The kids were just so excited...running around screaming "best night ever!!!", catching fireflies, dancing and playing soccer in the dark...so much fun.
Around 9:30pm, I left to go inside, and Charlotte, Henry and Jon went into the tent...they made it about 20 min (with lots of giggling) before they were inside in their rooms, which is actually longer than I would've guessed haha. They had better sleep late tomorrow :)
