The other night there was a "moving up" ceremony at church for all 1st graders (and parents). We sat with Charlotte's friends, and she was very excited because it STARTED at 7:15pm (she is usually asleep by 7:30pm)!
So about 3 minutes into the ceremony, the priest asks for a volunteer...of course Charlotte's arm shoots up, and out of about 150 kids, he actually picked her! So there goes little Charlotte onto the alter with 300+ people in the church...she was smiling and waving to me from the alter as she was assisting the priest. Too sweet.

Afterwards, she begged me to take her to George Martin's for dessert, even though it was way past her bedtime at that point. We went after her Christmas pageant, so I think she thinks dessert is happening after any event at St. Agnes from now on haha. But I decided that a little "dessert date" with mommy wasn't the worst idea in the world! :)
And a mighty big sundae for a little girl! Taking after her Mamie, I think :)
And just because...I had to include a pic of what she insisted on wearing to school the next day. She won the glasses for doing her school fundraiser...they always send the kids little gag gifts as a "thank you" for participating. And she fell in love with these glasses, and refused to take them off haha. Clearly picking my battles!!!
