No, that isn't a typo, haha. Henry went through a phase where, when it was someone's birthday, he would sing, "Happy to you, happy to you!", with no "birthday" in there. Even though he sings it correctly now, sometimes Charlotte, Mamie, Jon and I like to sing it his way :)
I turned 34 a few days ago…craziness. It is weird to even write that! I'm no spring chicken anymore haha.
Anyway, the morning of my birthday we drove back from Montauk to my parents' house. Charlotte was so excited…she loves celebrating birthdays. I think she might have bothered Mamie a bit that morning asking when we were going to be back haha.
Here is the lovely card that Jon let Charlotte give me. He took the kids to the drug store to get cards for me, and Charlotte INSISTED on this one. Inside, it says, "kiss another year goodbye, bitch!". I kid you not. Thank goodness she can't read. But apparently Jon said she said this was the card she had to get for mommy, and refused to even consider another one (on the verge of a meltdown). There was an older woman next to Jon witnessing the whole thing…Jon showed her the card, and she saw Charlotte begging, so she said, "you HAVE to let her buy it…your wife will appreciate the humor". So Jon let her haha. She walked in, handed it to me and said, "this is so inappropriate". She's right, but I will certainly remember it I guess :)
We were going to head back to our house after naps, so we had birthday cake with lunch…always fun! :)
Luckily I had lots of help blowing out the candles :)
Sweetness
My loves :)
Such a lucky mommy!!!
And of course, I got serenaded for my special day :)
Such a ham
And when Henry was napping, I was waited on hand and arm haha. I kill me.
Apparently, this is how Charlotte thinks that waiters/waitresses carry everything…let's hope she takes a different career path because this one doesn't look too promising :)
When we got home that night, Jon made us a delicious dinner with basil/pineapple/spinach smoothies for dessert. The kids couldn't get enough.
Not wasting a drop!
Happy little girl
Saying, "mmmm…this is the most delicious thing in the world" haha. Such a drama queen.
I think he likes it
So anyway, I had a great weekend and a great birthday. Love my family…so blessed :)
Xoxoxo
