Every year Charlotte & Henry's nursery school holds a St. Jude's Trike-a-Thon in the spring. The 4-year old classes raise money for St. Jude's (i.e., the parents raise money for St. Jude's), and the kids bring their bikes and ride them for about 30 seconds, haha. Here are some pictures.
Henry wishing his sister good luck. He didn't want to take his PJs off and put on clothes…I have to pick my battles :)
All lined up!
Here are the kids singing "This Land" and "United Nursery"
"On your mark, get set, go!!!"
This is hysterical…everyone was laughing at Charlotte. The kids were supposed to just line up and ride around in the little circle they had set up. Notice Charlotte make a break up the right to pass everyone…such a competitive, charitable little girl haha
And here she is coming down the home stretch!
So pleased with herself :)

Of course after watching all of the kids ride, Henry had to get in on the action!!! :)
Apparently, bicycling (competitively) works up a big appetite…clean plate club :)
It was a really cute event, and the kids were so excited. The next day, the teachers asked every child what their favorite part of the day was…the responses varied, a lot of kids loved riding their bikes, or having their mommy's there to watch them, or the dessert/party afterwards, etc. Charlotte said her favorite part was "raising money for the sick children", and her teacher told her that she just wanted to hug her all day long for saying that (and told me she was the only kid who said that)…too sweet :)
Xoxoxo
