February Break Part II

Okay, so we left off right before our Orlando trip, so thats where I'm picking up!

On Saturday, Jon flew back to Florida, and we left for Orlando with Charlotte and Henry. Pat and her siblings actually rented a place outside of Orlando long after we had made our Disney plans, so it was a serendipity that we were able visit with her too! We went to their house that evening, and then headed to downtown Disney...Jon wanted to go to T-Rex again ;)

Unfortunately, we got there and we had to wait for around an hour and a half. Once again, I wasn't feeling so hot (this time I had a weird stomach issue going on, and I was very nauseous), and the kids (and Jon!) were hungry and impatient, so we weren't off to a great start haha

But Charlotte & Henry still looked really cute :)

Climbing the dinosaurs. And no, that's not allowed haha

Thankfully there was a dance performance by kids from a nearby dance studio to pass the time...Charlotte, of course, loved it, but I think Henry might've even loved it more haha. He kept asking why there weren't any boys up there and whether boys could do that. Don't tell Jon haha.
Finally back in the ice cave!!! Right where we were last year. Jon was talking to the waiter, and he told Jon they seat 4700 people per day at this place--insane!
I could barely stand up straight, but Charlotte wanted to use the $20 Mamie gave her at the build a bear at the restaurant. We hadn't even set foot in a park, and the kids had already spent all of their money haha
The Magic Kingdom!
Such happy faces :)
Our first fast pass was for Thunder Mountain, our favorite roller coaster. Jon took these videos, and I just adore them! Jon said that there is no other place on earth where joy and rage exist so closely side by side, but this was clearly all joy.

These pictures are kind of warped, because they are the ones Disney takes (and wants you to buy, of course!). We didn't buy them, but I still wanted to share so don't mind the formatting ;)
Notice how Henry is staring directly at the camera?!!! You can't see any of the cameras, as they are completely hidden, but it sure looks like Henry is in on the secret haha
Love this action shot :)
Riding the railroad :)
Meanwhile, back in Jupiter...Mamie sent me these pics of our littlest love having fun :)
Saying "hi" to every turtle and person!
And in Disney, we were meeting Woody and Jessie! Notice Henry is missing---he still hates characters, apparently haha
Another Disney pic

The next fast pass was for Splash Mountain...it was under renovation when we were there last year, so this was the kids' first time and they were super anxious. We all know how Henry feels about getting a drop of water on his face, so I get it. Jon ended up taking his button down off, so I held it over Henry's face whenever we had a drop, but he was even freaked out about the briar patch stuff before. He didn't like the singing and characters, and kept asking when it was going to be over. When we walked off, he said "I really really hated that". Sound familiar? I had the same reaction to Space Mountain when I was exactly Henry's age ;). Jon, Charlotte and I enjoyed the ride, at least! Here's another Disney action shot...
We stumbled across this show--so fun!
Laughable
Much better! :)
With my goose!
Since we got home from T-Rex so late, and had to get up early for our fast passes, the kids were pretty exhausted. It's never good to start a Disney trip tired haha...you need everything you've got ;). So anyway, once the kids started to get cranky, we decided to just bail and spend the afternoon at the pool. Henry ended up falling asleep in the stroller for about an hour, thank goodness, and then we went to the pool for a few hours. Happy kiddies!
They built up the courage to go on the slide...at first, Henry was screaming "I'm coming daddy! Catch me daddy! Here I come daddy!" All the way down, but he eventually did it on his own :)

And Charlotte...

With my honey badger :)
And it doesn't seem to matter where we go--these hula hoop contests just seem to find Charlotte! :)

Silly
Jon went to pick up his mom, then we were all taking the monorail to the Grand Floridian for dinner. Except there was an issue with the elevators, so I turn around and see this...Jon carrying a huge double stroller over his head haha. We were running late for our reservation, so he wasn't taking any chances haha
We had a wonderful dinner at Citricos, I think the best we've ever had at Disney. And then the kids enjoyed the make-your-own sundae dessert. And by "enjoy", I mean they enjoyed making them, not so much eating them...they both took a bite or two and decided they didn't want dessert. Mamie would've been embarrassed at this showing haha
After dinner, we headed back to the magic kingdom, as we always do :)
Love this
We went on a few rides, including Thunder Mountain again, and the Jungle Cruise (their first time), and then watched the fireworks...
I asked Jon to take pictures of me with the kids, and this is how they came out...between Jon and Mamie and Pat, I think I'm destined to be the photographer forever!
It was a long day!!!
Someone was only pretending he was sleeping! Thank goodness for his nap, or he would never have made it through the day!
The next morning we had breakfast with the characters at Chef Mickey. One of the kids was thrilled. The other was only there for the bacon and sausage!!! :)
For some reason, he ran out when Pluto came over--apparently he isn't as scary as the other characters! Even last year Henry posed with Pluto...he must be a fan. But he was still a hesitant fan, making me stand between them haha
It was an absolutely gorgeous day!
Getting ready for the speedway
#jesustakethewheel
My boys
She was NOT a good driver. I might have whiplash haha. She told me, "it's just because I haven't had a lot of practice"--you think?!!
On line for the Buzz Lightyear Ranger Spin
Grandma with a gun!!! :)
We take alien attacks VERY seriously haha
Henry thinks he is funny...
Getting old now Henry!!!
Better :)
Another ride on the railroad!
Disney trip requirement. :)
And that was a wrap for the Orlando portion of our trip! We drove Pat home, and headed back to Jupiter (the return trip seemed MUCH longer haha) to see our boo boo and Mamie!
Love these pics...sweet sisters
More pics with Mamie (Henry was running around like a maniac, not surprisingly!)
Love how she looks at her big sister
Love love love
Eloise's hands haha
And that was our vacation in a nutshell (minus the crying and whining and sicknesses that plagued the family, of course haha)!!!
One night I heard Charlotte say to Henry, "I really love it here. Maybe we can move here together when we grow up". And Henry said, "but where will mommy live?". Charlotte replied, "I don't know, but she's always looking at houses--maybe they will move here too" haha. So being that they are already planning a future move to Florida, I think it's safe to say they really enjoyed themselves!
We are so thankful that Mamie and Poppy let us use their condo, and that Mamie was willing to put up with us for so long--thank you for a wonderful vacation, we love you!!! :)

Xoxoxo
