Weekend Fun :)

I had a babysitter on Friday, so I picked the kids up from school and asked if they wanted to go bowling...the answer was a resounding "yes"! They then proceeded to kick mommy's butt haha

See those scores?! I'm embarrassed!!! Although in my defense, I was the only one who didn't use bumpers haha

On Saturday after swimming lessons, Charlotte and I went to Cold Spring Harbor to a place called Pashley's to get her communion dress. Here are a few of the ones she tried on...

You might be surprised to hear that she hated this one haha

And once she put this one on, she didn't even want to try anything else...she said "this is it!", and her search was over :).

(This was the faux silk sample, it looks slightly different from the real silk one that she ended up getting, hence some of the color differences in the pics)

Mommy might have gotten a little quiver lip, and of course she got a kick out of it, hysterically laughing at me and saying, "are you going to cry?!!!" :)

And then this memory popped up on Facebook of Charlotte 4 years ago--such a baby!

On Sunday, Henry was sick and couldn't go to the birthday party he planned on attending, so instead we went to ikea to get Charlotte a desk. These kids were so funny. You can tell they have watched a lot of HGTV haha, they were running around pointing and making plans to renovate every inch of our home :)

Henry looked at me as we were leaving and said, "whoever came up with the idea of having this big store is really really really smart! Aren't they werry smart mommy? I love it here!" Haha

After ikea we had to drive around so Eloise could nap, and we ended up driving through Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor, where we stopped for lunch. So pretty!

And then we got home, and Jon had the fun experience of assembling an ikea piece of furniture haha. Fear not, the kids helped too! Here is the final product, which Charlotte promptly accessorized :)
