February Break Part I

Last week we returned home after a wonderful February vacation in Florida. We were there for 12 days, visiting my mom in Jupiter and then heading to Disney with the older kids for a whirlwind 48 hours. I took a lot of pictures--I can't fit them all in one blog post, but here is the first set! :)

Excited to see our limo! We also didn't know it was going to snow overnight, but it made us even happier to get out of town!!

Excited kiddies :)
You know, just enjoying her pasta with cauliflower...not your typical plane food haha. This was one of only 22 minutes of the flight when she wasn't crying/whining/making a scene. So brutal.
Mmmmmm...

When we arrived, we were all so excited to see Mamie (and Carmen--fun surprise!)--the kids ran up to her screaming her name, Eloise toddling as fast as her little legs could take her behind the big kids. It was adorable. I would've ran faster than all of them, taking no prisoners, except I was still so sick and didn't want to hug/kiss her :(
After we got to the condo, we headed right for the "little beach". Eloise clearly adapted to Florida living pretty quickly haha

Beautiful

The next morning started off with a little tennis...not a bad life, I tell you! :)

Beach time with my loves :)

Charlotte and Henry refused to go swimming, so Jon grabbed Eloise for some "surfing"

(We later heard that "tens of thousands" of sharks were spotted right of the coast there...I may not be able to keep Jon out of the water, but there was no more ocean swimming for my kiddies!)

She thought she was funny stealing mommy's chair :)
With my baby. She's not happy unless she is attached to my hip!
Happy Henry with his foot long hot dog!
Jon stopped in at a surf shop, and Henry wanted this hat haha
Dinner at U Tiki!

We attempted a family photo shoot on the pier :)
Love :)
Eloise's cheese face haha
With my hubs :)
Just missing one haha
We needed a pic with Mamie too!!!
Another beautiful morning at the beach!

Cuties
They built a tent haha
Bird crossing at lunch
My silly babies

Groovy moves :)

While Eloise napped, we drove south to see the manatees...the kids liked it for about 8 seconds, and then said it was "boring" haha.

Jon & I went out to dinner alone on Saturday night...we went to the Dive Bar for drinks, and then Jetty's for dinner. Not a bad view!
Jon loves taking pictures :)
View from my parents' condo
On Valentine's Day, we went to the Palm Beach Zoo
Eloise was trying to make a break for it haha
Crazy cheese face
Henry was holding a ladybug, because they had a big ladybug release for Valentine's Day--poor ladybug haha
"Ssssssss"
Attempting the elusive family pic once again!!!
Mamie's new headgear :)

Chris found a very enthusiastic fan for his magic tricks--this is very likely the best reaction Chris will EVER get to one of his magic tricks :)

Valentine's Day dinner at Bravo...but first--pictures!!!

Eloise haha
Sweet :)
Cheese!!!
Henry got spaghetti, and almost licked his plate! He was so funny, saying "the service is really good here, isn't it? And this sauce is the best! Mommy, isn't this sauce delicious?!". Clearly he was a fan!!!
Only 6pm and ready to go home and call it a night haha. Dinners with Eloise are the opposite of relaxing :(
2 of my Valentine's :)
On Monday, it poured. Like it only does in Florida. Insane. Jon's flight was supposed to take off at 1ish, and he finally boarded a plane to Newark (!!!) around 7pm. It was well after 10pm when he got home--long day :(
After spending most of the day inside, we needed to get out and decided to brave the storm to go to the pier and see if we could see any sharks...
"The sea was angry that day my friends!"
About to blow away!
Wondering if we've all lost our minds haha
It was so windy that the birds couldn't even fly--they were stationary!
We didn't see any sharks, but we did see a HUGE stingray--it must've been 6-8 feet!
The next day it was beautiful, and we were back to our usual spot!
The kids had a blast, looking for fish with a bunch of kids along the sandbags...

We spent afternoons at the pool with the Bodkins, which my kids obviously loved--especially Henry haha

Poor Chris :)

Evening walk with Mamie :)
Handsome boy
Love
Not a bad view!
This would've been a cute picture...if my mom didn't take it. So blurry haha
Another morning at the beach! We could get used to winters in Florida ;)
Low tide fun
Mamie (chewing) and Eloise...love
Eloise and her bodyguards haha
Once again, while Eloise was napping, we went to the pool with the Bodkins. Big thanks to Mamie for staying with Eloise so Charlotte and Henry could have some "big kid" time. Or as Charlotte put it, "ahhh, Eloise's nap time--best part of the day" haha
One night we took a trip to Dairy Queen, and clearly the kids hated it haha. I don't think I need to mention who suggested we go out for dessert (Mamie, ahem, Mamie) :)
Silly. She felt like such a big girl sitting at the table on a big chair :)
Happy girls!
Eloise likes wearing mommy's shoes haha
The next day the kids were sick of the beach, so we went to a nearby wildlife refuge in the morning
Sisters...love
Eloise wouldn't take her eyes off of the bear haha...she wasn't taking any chances!
She loves alligators :)
She wants to do everything he does...monkey see, monkey do!
During Eloise's nap, we went mini golfing...of course, this was the highlight for Henry :)
I don't want to brag, but I'm pretty good at mini golf and I kicked Charlotte and Henry's butt haha. Had to redeem myself after bowling a few weeks ago!
We were waiting for the people in front of us to finish, so that calls for silly selfies in a cave :)
Dolphins!!!
We even took Eloise to the pool this afternoon...she had fun :)
Dinner at Dune Dog
The next day we went to the lion safari, which was really fun...we first went on an hour-long drive through the "Safari", and then went into the park
Eloise was all about the snacks haha

One of my favorites :)
Too funny--don't mind the potty talk haha

Scout outs haha
My crew
One of my favorite pictures of them!!! Love :)
In the craziest coincidence, I saw Charlotte hugging someone on the carousel, and realized it was her good friend Mia!!! In the middle of Florida, we run into RVC friends haha. The kids were so excited, and we spent most of the day with them...such a serendipity ;)
So excited
Chatting away!
Henry & Morgan
After lunch treats!
Slide races!!!

Feeding the giraffes--so fun!
Oh hello!!!
Cuties
When Henry gets my phone!!!!
Charlotte tickling her cranky baby sister haha
Okay, I think that's all for now...I will pick up with our Disney trip on the next post! :)

Xoxoxo
