Okay, time to do some more catching up with my pictures…one of these days I will be current again! I think maybe I just need to stop taking pictures for a few weeks or so and we will be all good. Or I could spend a day downloading pictures :)
Charlotte had a play date with her friend Cece from school, and they had such a good time…even Henry was so excited that she was over, and kept yelling "Cece Henny house". I got quite a laugh out of Charlotte and Cece trying to play "duck-duck goose" with just the two of them though :)
Of course, we couldn't let the holiday season go by without making a gingerbread house. And this year even Henry got in on the action :) I figured it would make it a bit easier if I constructed the houses while they were napping, and then I just let them decorate them. They still had a blast, and there wasn't any crying due to collapsing houses. Win, win.
Henry was mad because I told him he couldn't eat all of the candy haha.
So much fun!
Hard at work :)
The finished products! :)
Meanwhile, daddy was in Puerto Rico surfing! Lucky ;)
He had great waves while he was there
And back on the home front, some after-bath kisses...
Getting ready for breakfast with Santa! I have the actual pictures of the breakfast on my camera, but I haven't downloaded them yet... these are just from when we were waiting for daddy's flight to arrive so we could go to school to see Santa.
So excited
Cutie pie :)
One of Buddy's hiding spots :)
This was a picture on a Christmas card that we received…how hysterical is that?!
By that Monday, Charlotte was sick with a cold and the never-ending cough. Henry couldn't go to school, because I didn't have anyone to stay with Charlotte, and so we were all stuck inside…Mommy had to come up with some indoor activities, so reindeer paper plates it was! Haha.
Look at them concentrating so hard on their art projects…love it :)
And they took a shower…I let it get all hot and steamy in there to make Charlotte feel better, and they had a lot of fun playing with the Barbie pool
Another day at home…just cuddling :)
A close-up of my loves :)
We also went for a walk to ease the cabin fever...
Charlotte, of course, had to take her baby with her…her babies come EVERYWHERE with us, haha
Such a good mommy :)
Henry decided he wanted my salad instead of his pizza, so he just helped himself to my lunch!
My poor kiddies…just taking an after-lunch rest.
Charlotte was rubbing his head/hair and telling him everything was "going to be okay"
Unfortunately, Charlotte was sick the day she was supposed to bring snack in to class. She was DEVASTATED. She knew she was going to be the leader, and then when she got sick she kept on saying, "but I have to bring in snack! I can't miss school when I am the leader!". She was crying and so upset. So we had Cece's mom pick up the snack and bring it to the class, and that afternoon this note from Charlotte's class was on the front stoop.
So sweet and thoughtful of them…she was so incredibly excited to see it. Really made her smile, even though she was so sad :(
Poor thing…the cough this time was really bad, and she was not a happy camper
My babies
Buddy riding the reindeer :)
Who needs Christmas gifts when you have bubble wrap?!
We made paths to play with his trucks, and he had a ball!
One of my favorites…Charlotte took the binoculars, and was looking for Santa up the chimney (I didn't have the heart to tell her that they were backwards!)
Crying and refusing to take her medicine…good times
Our new kitchen runner…love it!
And the other rug…coloring is kind of off in the picture, but you get the idea!
I had once again gotten sick of making food no one would eat, so I went with a smorgasbord of foods for lunch. And they loved it!
Another sick day in the house…everyone had cabin fever and we were sick of sick! So I decided we would make Christmas ornaments. I baked them, and then the kids decorated them with markers. And the whole time, Charlotte insisted on wearing the kids ice pack thing on her head so she didn't "get another fever" :)
Charlotte showing off the ornaments!
So proud :)
Not too shabby, haha.
Henry hanging his ornaments on the tree
Another shower in a hot and steamy bathroom...
…and apparently, sometimes you just NEED a hug, no matter where you are :) Love when they love each other.
That's all for now!
Xoxoxo
