Our weekend was full of lots of sea, sun & sand…the best kind of weekend, in my opinion :)
On Saturday we went out on Poppy's new boat, and I have to say--it is my favorite boat to date! Henry was being kind of a pill, but the rest of us had a great time…especially because we caught a few fluke (and crabs haha). Here are some pics :)
Such a gorgeous day! Before kids, this little portion of this boat would have had my name all over it!!!!!! No time for sunbathing these days though, haha
Grouchy face :)
Helping Poppy drive the boat :)
At least Mamie and Poppy are looking in the right direction and have their eyes open haha
Happy in the little hole :)
"I am king of the world!!!" :)
Charlotte's turn in the hole haha
Charlotte and daddy fishing
Hooked up!
Charlotte and Daddy's catch
She got a lot closer this time! Last time we went fishing she hated it "flipping around" and wouldn't go anywhere near it :)
Helping Henry to reel in his fish
Posing with the fluke!
Trying to build up the courage to touch it. Only for a second, and only with one finger haha
On Sunday, we had a beautiful beach day at Tiana
And this day must go in the record books, because Henry fell asleep at the beach!!! To be honest, it was the first time we attempted it, because he is usually so distracted and crazy and all over the place at the beach…but we decided to try it, and we were successful! Jon rocked him in the stroller for a while, we gave him his blanket and monkey "Ellen", and he was asleep in no time. And unbelievably, he slept for an hour and a half!!! It was amazing :)
We told Charlotte she had to take her nap on the beach too…here she is laying down...
…trying the other side...
…and back to the other side...
…on to the chair...
And then a few minutes later, after not sleeping a wink, she got up and declared, "okay, I'm up!". Haha. So we weren't as successful on that front :)
But here is our little peanut…so peaceful :)
And this was when Henry and Charlotte were swimming…Jon and I weren't in the pool, but we were sitting right on the side watching them. I went in to make dinner, and Jon told Henry he had to get out of the pool…in a very smart move, Henry swam away from the edge into the middle of the deep end of the pool, knowing Jon didn't want to go in haha. So hysterical, and so smart. I love his little mischievous face, like "what are you going to do now, daddy?" :)
Charlotte doing the back float :)
Lots of fun around here! :)
