Anyone who spends any time with Charlotte knows that one of her most used phrases is “member when…???”. And tonight was no exception, although it seems as if her memory is failing her. I was getting her ready for bed, and she was looking at a picture of me when I was pregnant with her…she looked at me and said, “member when I was a baby and I had a penis?”. I tried to contain my laughter, and started to explain to her that she was always a girl, even when she was a baby. She got a very serious look on her face, and said “no mommy, when I was an itty bitty baby I had a penis”. I decided this was a fight I was going to lose, and so I just let it go…priceless.
