Jon & I got home late from Puerto Rico on Good Friday, so we had to fit all of our Easter fun in just a few days! Unfortunately, Henry got sick when we got home...bad cough and congestion, which turned into a double ear infection. So he was cranky and miserable and "feeling so so lousy" (his words), so we thought it was best to just stay home instead of going to Mamie & Poppy's. It stinks that we weren't able to make it to HB to celebrate with everyone, but we made the best of it anyway.
Here are some pictures :)
Of course, the highlight of the weekend haha. For Charlotte, anyway!
I wanted to get a picture of Charlotte & Eloise in the cute dresses my mom bought for them...no luck. Eloise was NOT having it :)
"Why are you guys torturing me?!!!"
Watching her big brother :)
We went to United for the Easter egg hunt/pancake breakfast, and Henry actually got close to the bunny! He wasn't into it at all, but I told him he couldn't eat the candy in the eggs until he took a picture. Whoops, nonny mommy :)
Love this one--he's trying to figure out if the candy is worth it!
There we go! He's in the pic :)
It was so windy & sunny, really not ideal for picture taking!
Check out Charlotte's hair haha
Quinn, the boy in Henry's class who has been mean to him (and bitten him, multiple times), was at the egg hunt. As a result, Charlotte was EXTREMELY protective...she wasn't letting Quinn anywhere near her brother. Love this :)
Happy to be out of the wind!
Time to color the Easter eggs! The kids were super creative this year...they cut out paper to make the eggs airplanes and boats, and drew pictures all over the eggs. Good stuff :)
Trying to get a picture of Eloise in her bunny pjs, but she wouldn't stay still long enough!
Silly goose
Henry posing in his bunny pjs. Charlotte had matching pjs, as well, but she informed me she was "too old" for matching pajamas now. Sob :(
Henry wasn't feeling well, so I told him he couldn't be with Eloise. But it kills him not to be with his little sister, so he sat there for about 30 min just watching her, making her laugh, talking to her. So sweet.
Tickles!
Check out the side view haha
Dancing time!
Henry was up at 6am on Easter morning hacking up a lung, and he pretty much woke everyone up, so it was a VERY early Easter morning! Ugh. Here are the kids in front of their baskets...
Happy girl checking out her loot!
Trying on his paw patrol socks, which were a huge hit!
With his new bunny, named "black and tan", or "tan and black"...I can't recall haha
Eloise showing off her goodies!
What's making so much noise?! The first time she heard the "instruments" that she got from the Easter bunny!
She hated these. Ripped them off her head in about 3 seconds!
Cutie
Since we all were up so early, we decided to head over to long beach for a walk before I cooked. It was a gorgeous day...love this pic of me & my littles! :)
Charlotte took this one!
My loves :)
It was Eloise's first time on the swings. At first, she was NOT happy haha. But after about 15 min she finally let us see an inkling of a smile! :)
With my sassy almost 7 year old!
Beautiful day
He was soooooo shot. Early wake-ups when you're sick = mandatory naps!
He refused to wake up, even when we got home!
I cooked dinner while the kids decorated the house "for me". Here is a picture of one of the signs they made, although the writing doesn't show up in the picture. They put bunnies on the table, eggs all over the place, signs/pictures on the walls...it was quite the Easter celebration! :)
And what is better than closing out the holiday with some more dancing?! Haha
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!
Xoxoxo
