Okay, I find myself WAY behind yet again. Think I am just going to work from most recent pictures back…here are a bunch of unrelated pics, but stick with me here :)
Putting Henry to work…cheap labor haha
Henry comes prepared for Charlotte's soccer practice…love this picture, especially since he packed his "bag" to the left. I think he included a water bottle, a soccer ball, and a stuffed animal--all of the essentials!
Future soccer star!
There was a mother at practice who said she had a confirmed case of the flu. This was Thursday, and she said that on Monday she was in the hospital with a fever of 105 degrees, and she was still coughing up a lung. So I promptly packed up our chairs, and took Henry to climb trees :)
Our Halloween decorations :)
Charlotte recently had her first field trip to a nearby farm. She was so excited, and especially thrilled to be riding a bus for the first time! After a legendary meltdown because she didn't want to wear her school field trip shirt, she was on her way :) I went as a chaperone, but didn't have to ride the bus (thank goodness). I know it was my first school trip, but oh my God was it insane. There were probably about 6000 kids there (from all over Long Island), and there happened to be 3 large buses of mentally handicapped adults as well. And one of the girls in my group was a RUNNER. She was a very sweet girl, but she refused to listen to directions and simply darted wherever she wanted to go. So I spent my entire day sprinting after her, because I was petrified I was going to lose someone else's child haha. Charlotte and Clare, on the other hand, were little angels…holding my hand, listening to all directions. I told my friend Emily that this girl Nicole made Henry look easy :) I was beyond exhausted at the end of the day!!!! Honestly don't know how early elementary school teachers do it all the time…as my friend Melissa put it, "when my kids are bad, I can bribe them or be mean to them. It isn't socially acceptable to be mean to other kids" haha. Seriously.
Anyway, here are a bunch of pictures...
Charlotte and the runner feeding the camels :)
Getting animal food was a free-for-all haha
My goose
Nicole, Charlotte and Clare
In the bird cage
Clare had a complete meltdown right after this bird landed on her…spending the day at an animal farm is tough for a girl who has a fear of animals :)
Mr. Ferrone, Charlotte's kindergarten teacher
Charlotte kept on petting the birds…yuck
Amazed that more and more birds kept on landing on her haha
Sweetness
A rare moment where the kids were still. Or most of them, at least. Mr. Ferrone made them sit before they could go eat lunch haha….that will do it!
Charlotte and Fayola on the hayride…the weather couldn't have been any more perfect!
Picking out their pumpkins :)
Attempting a class picture
Mr. Ferrone wanted to take another picture…notice the kid in the back row who refused to stand up. This kid is kind of a troublemaker, and Mr. Ferrone had just about had it by this point. Can't say I blame him one bit! :)
So, the kids had a great day, and we were all absolutely exhausted afterwards. Charlotte fell asleep on the couch at 5pm, and I wished I could've joined her, haha.
That Sat night we had Charlotte's BFF Clare and her family come over for dinner. The kids played so nicely, and the adults were actually able to enjoy ourselves as well…believe it or not, we even had an uninterrupted dinner (except for when baby Alice woke up and wanted to join us)! That doesn't happen very often :) Here are the Halloween-themed cupcakes I made for the kids...
I've been doing a lot of working out at home, and Charlotte loves to do it with me, but apparently finds a lot of it hysterical...
Here she is another night. Nakie yoga. It's all the rage right now :)
And this is future blackmail material…the first time Henry brings home a girlfriend, I might have to break out this picture! I walked in on him going to the bathroom in this position…does this look comfortable to you?!!! I can't imagine haha.
Okay, that is all for now! I will be back soon, I hope :)
Xoxoxo
