Dreaming of a white…Halloween???

thermometer-in-winter

We had snow this weekend! Before Halloween! I can honestly say that I don’t ever remember having snow before Halloween…I can remember running around on some pretty frigid Halloweens, but never snow. Saturday was such a bitter, yucky day…at times it was sleeting, at times it was snowing, and strangely enough, at times it was doing both.

This is what we saw when we woke up

Luckily, Henry and I never left the house so we didn’t have to face the unpleasant elements, haha.  Jon and Charlotte went to Toys R Us for some toy reinforcements, and then we all spent the day inside as a family, enjoyed some chili, and tried to stay warm :)

And of course, sending Jon to TRU was probably a bit of a mistake…check out the toy he came back with. Let me tell you, it is a great addition to the living room décor!!!

The kids really loved it though, so I guess that is all you can ask for on a day spent indoors :)

The poor kids were still sick this weekend…Charlotte was on the mend, but Henry was getting worse. He definitely wasn’t himself…still such an angel, but he was a real mush. Jon and I got lots of cuddle time in though!

Even Charlotte tried to make Henry feel better…too cute

And for the first time since he was about 4-5 months old, Henry didn’t take his morning nap today…he was coughing and didn’t feel well, so he didn’t fall asleep. Naturally, he was exhausted…this is what I found halfway through lunch :)

He was doing the head bob thing, where he tries (unsuccessfully) to stay awake. Love it!
