Happy 6th Birthday Charlotte!!!

Because Charlotte's 6th birthday was only a few days before my due date, we decided to have her party a few weeks before her actual birthday. She insisted on a "Tangled" party at home, so I did my best at 9 months pregnant (on bed rest!).

Beginning the cake preparations...she wasn't a Rapunzel cake, which is easier said than done. I had to get creative! :)

The finished product! Note to self: it's VERY difficult to write on a cake!!!

Mini-cupcakes

Goody bags

For a craft, I got "color me" cookies, which the kids decorated with special edible markers...they were a hit!

Party table

Basement decorations, complete with the Tangled lanterns :)

Quick pre-party photo shoot :)

Cute!

Anxiously waiting for the guests!

Love these cuties

Attempting a family pic...I'm clearly about to pop :)

Kisses for mommy

Love the way they are looking at each other here...

Charlotte, Lexi and "Rapunzel" haha. Henry was petrified :)

Once the guests arrived, Rapunzel went right for the big guns!!! And Charlotte was oh so shy :)

I love that Pat started crying when Charlotte was singing (you can see her in the back). She said she was just so happy watching Charlotte in all her glory :)

(Notice that Henry won't go anywhere near Rapunzel...still too afraid of "characters"!)

A kindergarten favorite! :)

Cuties

So happy

The balloons were the only things that got him to move away from us and towards Rapunzel haha

Happy Birthday love bug!

Sweet birthday girl

My big girl!

One of the best parts...digging into her presents!!!

On her actual birthday, we decorated her door (as the kids have come to expect!)

Coming down the stairs...

Our 6 year old!!!

Posing with her new Rapunzel shirt...

These are lyrics to a song that Charlotte and I always sang...she even told me that this was the song that was going to be playing when I came home from the hospital with the baby, and she was going to have a whole surprise party for us :). That didn't happen exactly, but she's still my sweetheart!!!

With her first American Girl doll, Isabelle!

In love haha

I got to go to school to celebrate with the class (good lord, I'm swollen!)

Love that Mr. Ferrone made them start over...he wasn't in the best mood I don't think, haha

That night we all took Charlotte out to dinner--Charlotte, Henry, Clare, Grandma, Mamie, Poppy, Mommy & Daddy all went to Cabo (of course!). Though they don't look like it here, everyone had a blast :)

Still find it amazing how quickly our little goose is growing up! She is the most amazing big sister, and such a kind little girl. We love her so much, and are so very proud of the person she has become. Happy 6th Birthday Charlotte Grace!!!

(Full disclosure...I'm writing this post WAY after her 6th birthday. Like, way after...so much so that I can't even use the excuse that I had a baby right after her birthday haha. But at least I'm doing it!!!)

Xoxoxo
