After spending a boring week (mostly) in the house while Henry recovered from coxsackie (yup, again!), we headed out east on Saturday to go to the beach and go apple picking. My oh my what gorgeous weather!!! It was amazing.
On Saturday we all went to the beach, and the kids had a blast playing on the sand bar and jumping off of the "cliffs" :).
Here are some pics...
I still remember how excited we used to get when there were drops like this in the sand...I used to be flipping off backwards, of course :)
Henry catching some waves!
I mean, how beautiful is this?!!!
Love how Henry is carrying the board, like a professional surfer haha
Some nice waves breaking out there...thank goodness for the sand bar! :)
Charlotte's just taking a breather!
Heading out with Uncle Joe!
My loves
Cliff jumpers haha
Getting some air! :)
Every time Charlotte got all sandy from jumping, she had to run down the water immediately to wash off haha
King of the world!!!
Silly faces :)
And of course, a few compilations of my favorites!
Eloise relaxing with poppy :)
The next day we took the kids apple picking. Upon the recommendation of a lot of RVC moms, we skipped the over crowded north fork and headed out to warermill for the first time. It was called the milk Pail, and it was really beautiful and much more civilized than fighting the crowds on the north fork :)
Henry and Charlotte telling us we need one of the "huge, really really really huge" pumpkins haha
On the hunt for some apples!
With my older kiddies (Eloise was in the stroller and I was attempting to shield her from the bees and get her to nap...not all that successful with the nap part)
Kisses from my Henry boy
Giving us a tutorial...you just "pick, twist and pull!"
Henry's little buddy
They didn't all wear the same color on purpose, but it was pretty funny when they all stood side by side! :)
Such a fun weekend...hard to believe it is the last month in September with weather like this, but we will take it! :)
Xoxoxo
