Hard to believe it has been 11 years…so long ago, yet it still feels like yesterday. In a weird coincidence, I was in downtown NYC last night for the first time in a VERY long time…when I signed up for the CLE class, I was thinking only about fulfilling my yearly requirements, and didn't pay much attention to the date. But being down on Vesey Street, on the eve of the anniversary of the terrorist attacks, brought back lots of memories of that horrific day. There were millions of family members gathering for the memorial today, every news organization in the world had set up shop, and streets were shut down all over the place…it was a bit sobering.
But then I walked out of the class, turned around and looked up, and saw the Freedom Tower lit up in red, white and blue. Amazing.
