I'm guessing they will only conquer the "writing" part this year :)
Today was Charlotte's first day of preschool (in the 4 year old program), and I am VERY thrilled to report that there were no tears, no fits, and no hysterics...she was very excited to go to school and see all of her friends. Compared to last year, this year was a breeze! We walked into the school (late), she met Mrs. Brennan and Mrs. Reddeker, she saw some of her friends in the classroom, and said "bye Mommy". Not even a backwards glance. Easy peasy lemon squeezy (well, at least it would be if it didn't take us 2 hours to drive to school from my parents' house…ugh). Here are some pictures:

Sadly, Charlotte's BFF Hari isn't in her class (she cried when she found out a few weeks ago), but when they saw each other after class they were inseparable. They were SOOOOOO happy. At first, they were all nervous and shy around each other, and then they just both grabbed each other and hugged. I melted. The little guy on the left is Hari's little brother Nicholas, who is slightly obsessed with Charlotte, haha. He calls every blond child he encounters "Charlotte" and kind of follows her around like a lost puppy…too funny
