Hewitt Fair 2015

The Hewitt Fair is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and always a good time. It is a LOT of work, from baking to assembling baskets, to having parents work the games and sales booths, etc. But it's always a great event.

This year it was absolutely frigid and even started snowing at one point! After working my booth after working ticket sales, in the cold, wind and shade, I honestly thought I had frost bite. Not fun. But the kids had a blast, especially Charlotte. This year she really thought she was hot stuff, because she had a LITTLE bit of independence...we let the girls walk around together without us (even though we were watching!). She was strutting around like she owned the place haha. Anyway, here are some pics...

Decorating committee! Painting pumpkins the day before the fair

Henry loved painting the pumpkins...

...and started to take some creative license with his designs :)

Admiring his work
The girls putting the finishing touches on their pumpkins

Attempting a pic of all of the volunteers!

The next day when we got to the fair, Eloise couldn't believe there was a petting zoo!!! She was in complete shock haha

Such sweet girls...Gabrielle, Alison, Charlotte & Lexi
All bundled up!
Here are the kids dancing and eating lunch haha

Happy kiddies
Our teenager
Like she owns the place...
Unfortunately for Charlotte, there was no hula hoop contest this year...but it was still a fun and successful day :)

Henry's First Field Trip :)

Henry had his first field trip a few weeks ago, and (just like Charlotte's) we went to White Post Farms. To say he was a LITTLE excited might be the understatement of the century :)

And the fact that I was a chaperone and coming on the bus just put him over the edge! Here are some pics...

I saw this outside his classroom

Sitting with mommy on the bus!

Attempting a class picture...
My group...Henry, Luca and Kieran

Such a love

Feeding the animals...

Hayride fun!

Selfie with mommy on the hayride

Picking out his pumpkin

Hayride was a hair-raising experience (see what I did there?!) :)

That kid in the orange jacket is Chase, and while on the trip he walked up to Henry and choked him (out of nowhere, Henry was just listening to Ms Smith!). I happened to be standing there, and physically ripped him off Henry and said "don't you do that!". Ms Smith came up and asked him what he was thinking, and Chase said "I was trying to pick him up by his neck". That doesn't fly!!! He was put in time out and couldn't play on the playground, little troublemaker :)
Look at Henry's face haha
One more class pic!

It was a very fun day! And as always after a field trip, I am amazed at how teachers deal with that many young kids everyday!!! :)

Fall Fun! :)

I've know, I know...I've been so "nonny" (how my kids have always said "naughty"!). Here are some pics of our recent activities!

Dreams do come true :)

Henry wishes everyday was pajama day!!!
This popped up on my Facebook feed...5 years ago, baby Charlotte :)
Rainy day huddles :)
Meanwhile, Eloise stays dry under her stroller!
I had to get some birthday presents, so I took Eloise and Henry to the toy store with me (in a torrential downpour)...Eloise was in awe, kept saying "ohhhhh!" And touching everything haha
She apparently wanted this baby haha. When I told her we were leaving, she gave me a side eye, turned around, and ran full speed the other way--apparently she wanted to live there!
Meanwhile, Ray was on his way to charleston...craziness
We went to the nursery in Oceanside, and they had a cute petting zoo...
So happy!
I'm always a little nervous when Henry holds baby animals haha
The baby goats were only 5 weeks and kept escaping from the pen...thank goodness for Jon the goat wrangler haha
Charlotte decorated her room for fall :)
That girl on the right is the one Charlotte races against each week...she is almost my height haha. But very sweet--they are buddies now!
Henry getting ready for his race!
This is how he often wakes up--hysterical
Soooooooo sassy
Eloise just signs "more" the entire time!

A usual occurrence around here :)
Henry has gotten 100% on every test so far!!!! So proud
Amazing NY waves from hurricane Joaquin. No, that isn't Jon haha
She said it was "time for operation coolest kid in school", and this is the outfit she picked out, complete with Jon's ID for the Boston office. And she wore it all day long. God help us :)

Ready for gymnastics!
Charlotte wrote this about Tyler and Trevor...so cute
OHB view from my early morning run...gorgeous
She's been begging for a "short bob"...we went as short as we could, while still being able to put it in a pony
We spent Saturday of Columbus Day weekend on the North Fork with the Parrot family...it was such a wonderful day! Gorgeous weather, amazing friends, wine, pumpkins...it doesn't get much better :)
So happy to be reunited!
Look at how she looks at him!
This was the never ending maze...this was about 45 min after we entered--ugh!
Gun slinging...or something
Charlotte was saying "just wave the flag! Just wave the flag!", and finally Tyler asked a worker for the emergency exit haha. We had enough!
Jamie & I wondering how and when we could get some wine!!!
So cute
We tried all day to get a good pic of us haha
My love bug
We crossed the street to Jamesport Vineyards, which was just perfect! Kids ran and danced, we relaxed--amazing! Love how she looks at Tyler :)
Love :)
Dancing fools!!

This crew...so cute
Love how he carried these, like they were 150 lbs haha
Sweet pea
King of the pumpkins!!!
She always finds him! :)
Look who I found!!!
Tyler's pit crew haha
Fun hay ride
Crazy boys
So beautiful
The next day, we found a small dead snake...it's the little things haha
We had a late dinner at driver's seat, and Eloise took every fry on the table...look at the mound haha
Brady came over for a play date...he's almost as big as Henry! Look at him next to Eloise :)
I told her to hug Brady...apparently she thought I meant bow to him haha
And lastly, here are a few sneak peeks from our holiday photo shoot! :)

Okay, that's it for now! :)
