Okay, so still catching up over here, but with the holidays things are really quite crazy. Anyway, I think I left off at the end of November, so I am only about a month behind :)
In school, the kids had to say what they were thankful for…Charlotte said she was thankful for Mamie (not Mimi, haha), Henry, and Cas. Jon and I must've really pissed her off that day :)
One day when Charlotte was in school, I took Henry shopping…he was going through a phase where he was waking up super early, and so he was exhausted. But this was at 10am! He had gotten really quiet, and looked to see this….
I walked into Lord & Taylor, did all of my shopping, returned a few things, and I was physically unable to wake him up…I tried touching him, singing, moving him, picking him up, and NOTHING worked. I don't have those kids who just fall asleep anywhere, so this was something completely new to me! Clearly, he needed his sleep :)
He didn't even wake up when I took him out of the stroller and put him in the car…I even put him in his sister's seat as a special occasion, and bribed him with candy, but apparently he wasn't all that interested :)
The kids were lining every single pair of their shoes up on the stairs, and playing "shoe store", where they could come in and buy different shoes. Lots of fun for them, but lots of clean up for me haha
Charlotte was in charge of the high steps :)
I finally had to put an end to it when Henry started playing King Kong :)
All ready for her friend Cece's "Fancy Nancy" party. All of the kids were supposed to dress up in "fancy party" attire, which simply meant everyone had on tutus, tiaras, and glittery accessories, haha!
So excited!
This is the face I get when I ask Henry to "say cheese". Really?!
There's my handsome boy :)
The party was so cute. The mom is a professional kids party planner, so it was right in her wheelhouse haha
Playing haircut…poor Henry
She was saying, "just a little off the top…"
Comes with the territory when you have an older sister…purple tiaras and princess wands :)
Poor Henry fell and hit his face on the tv stand, but REFUSED to let us ice it :(
"No, daddy, no!"
Such a trooper…he had a big black and blue on his face for days :(
I took Charlotte out for a lunch date, and she wanted to eat in the front seat of the car. So exciting, apparently!
…just hanging out, watching some tv!
They love eating their snacks under the counter!
I said "say cheese" again, and note Henry's face haha
Every time a catalog came in the mail, Charlotte would sit down with her pencil and proceed to circle EVERY.SINGLE.ITEM in the magazine and tell me that was what she was getting for Christmas haha. I think she circled 1-2 things for Henry :)
We know how to have fun! Who needs Disney when you have Home Depot?!
We decided we could probably get rid of the pumpkins since we were going to buy our Christmas tree, haha
Our beautiful tree (have to give Jon credit for picking it out)! Charlotte was so excited to decorate, and really quite good at it for a 4 year old :)
Big girl!
The cow is surfing :)
So pretty!
And of course, Buddy the elf made his appearance…here he is through the wreath stocking holder (that we don't even use)
A close-up!
And here he is a different night
Kids playing shoe store again, this time the store was located on the baby changing table. You would think that I spend a lot of time in shoe stores, but I swear I don't!!!
Telling knock-knock jokes, which usually consist of "knock-knock", "who's there", "pee pee, (something we can't decipher), biiiiiiiggggg truck", followed by hysterical giggles :)
Eating an ice cream sundae, while shaking his head "yes" and saying "mmmm" the entire time
And here are some more tree shots! Couldn't resist :)
One of my favorites!
LOVE
And I will leave you with that for now ;)
Xoxoxo
