Saturday was really rainy and gross, so our plans to go on the boat were scrapped. We decided to just go to Southampton for lunch instead. Jon suggested we go to the park with the kids, but given the torrential downpour, I didn't think that was the best idea :)
Charlotte is ready for the elements!
Daddy and Henry checking the doppler…despite Jon saying "this is going to pass in 5 minutes", that wasn't exactly the case!!!
So, unfortunately, our Saturday didn't go as planned, but we did have a nice lunch and we were able to walk around Southampton during a brief break in the rain.
Sunday we had once again hoped to go on the boat or to the beach, but it was overcast and kind of windy, so that plan was once again scrapped…instead, we headed to Harbes farm. The kids had a great time…it is a wonderful place--now that I know how much the kids love it, it might be my go-to :)
This tractor was a very popular attraction! Henry did NOT like when Charlotte tried to ride his tractor haha
But then he realized there was a sandbox with trucks and tractors, and he was in heaven!
He kept on calling me over and pointing to the sand toys, as if he couldn't believe his good fortune!
Happy little boy
Charlotte was finally able to tear Henry away from the sandbox, haha
…but then he saw the tractor sign, and again--heaven! He kept saying "i want that, I want that". I might actually get him a sign like that for his room if I thought for one second that he would actually go to sleep…but I know he would be way too excited to sleep with that great sign hanging in his room :)
Looking for bugs on the flower horse
Divide and conquer at the chicken coop
Henry was saying "bak bak bak bak"…speaking their language :)
Watch those fingers!
Charlotte loves the little houses
Charlotte doing the duck races…I had a defective pump, so she kicked my butt ;)
Cutie pies
He kept touching the (fake) butterfly, saying "bu! bu!" (for bug)
And now they are stuck in the spider web!
Down the slide!
And into the maze with Charlotte leading the way...
Playing with the statue
Henry looks like he is doing karate, haha
Trying to navigate the maze :)
LOVE THIS…so sweet
Bee hive…with Henry saying "bee! bee!"
Fascinated!
Charlotte visiting the ducks and chickens!
Such a big boy riding the bike
Charlotte's turn!
Petting the chicken
Kind of grosses mommy out haha
And riding the pony...
She is an old pro now, haha
With mommy on the hayride
Instagram fun :)
While they were singing "You Are My Sunshine" (which, incidentally, is apparently a song a man wrote about his horse…you learn so much on a hayride!)
Henry's favorite tractor :)
So, all in all, it was a great day and the kids had a blast! Can't wait to go back :)
Xoxoxo
