Finally, after a month, we got our building permit this morning (a stellar example of how local governments function)!!! Wooohooo…demolition has commenced, and I already can't wait to be finished with this renovation :)
Here are some pics from when Jim and Jon ripped out the cabinets (but before they started taking down walls).
No more washer and dryer in the kitchen (although, in the interest of full disclosure, as ugly as it was, it actually proved incredibly convenient to have it right there haha)!
Yup, we thought we removed all of the wallpaper when we moved in, but nope--they even had some BEHIND the cabinets :)

I am so excited for the day when I get to share the "after" pictures, haha.
